From phil at linux2000.com Wed May 25 14:58:47 2005 From: phil at linux2000.com (Phil Edwards) Date: Wed May 25 14:51:20 2005 Subject: [Pimp-announce] ANN: PIMP Version 0.9.0 Released Message-ID: <1117029527.12839.31.camel@mibnlt11.miint.mistral.net> The latest release of PIMP is now available for download from: http://www.linux2000.com/pimp.html This is essentially a maintenance release. A bug was discovered in the image filter selection dialog which has been fixed. I also discovered that a pixmap file had been omitted from the distribution manifest, causing that file to be missing from the 0.8.1 release - this would have generated an error message but otherwise had no effect on functionality. One new feature has been added to the program - it is now possible to specify that images should be shown in reverse date order, i.e. most recently taken pictures first, in both the main window and in any generated albums. In the main window, the program will default to this new behaviour. To revert to the old behaviour, i.e. display images from oldest to newest, click View --> Most recent first on the menubar. From within the album editor, there is now a 'Show most recent images first' checkbox which does the same thing. Note that if you change this for any existing albums, you will need to rebuild the album for the change to take effect. I will make further releases of PIMP under version number 0.9.x for the rest of this year as and when bugs are reported to me. Sometime during January 2006, version 1.0 of PIMP will then be released and this will effectively mark the end of the PIMP development effort. Changelog: - added a checkable menu item to the main window to allow the picture sort order to be reversed - pixmap file 'black.jpg' was missing from the distribution manifest - changed the sort order so that the most recent picturess are shown first in the main window - added a checkbox to the album editor to allow albums to be built with the most recent images on the first page if required - Hiding the image import filters in the filter select dialog and then pressing the 'last import' button was causing an exception. The 'last import' button is now disabled if you hide the image import filters.
