Thank you for being respectful. You are correct: I would pay for it and the
time off work also, plus not get the CMEs required for my licensure and
cetification.

The politics sometimes surmount the common sense.

Indeed, I am involved in many facts of the medical profession. This is one
bone at which I pick. Allow me that courtesy and understanding.
