And the collective responses will be, "I was too busy getting rich" or "I was too busy taking care of the sick and injured indigent population to pay attention to anything else that was happening around me".  Either way, the responses are simply a couple of lame answers to why we, as a profession, have remained so silent for so long about so much.  And if we continue to remain silent, the politicians, insurance companies and liberal spenders (and no, I am not pointing at the "Liberals" - at least not just yet!) will continue on with business as usual!

No.  Realist.   What are WE going to do to  change?    I see several options, 
all of which are  untenable.  AND with the recent experience from the Walter 
Reed Building 18  scape goating, it is each of us that will be blamed and held 
 accountable.   I can hear it now, "what did you not do and why did you  not 
tell us about it."   Dr. Gross, I can see the finger pointing  right now.   
Straight at ME, you, and others on this list.    WHY DID YOU LET IT GET THIS BAD?
