Hi,

Lurking mode off, so greetings from a medical student in Greece.. 
Concerning this case, I would like to ask for your views on ligating the external carotid artery IN the ED in case of life-threating hemorrhage as a desperate measure. Have you done it? If not would you do it? Other measures in case your patient with this type of injury is bleeding out in the ED?
