Have a wonderful and safe journey. Please keep me posted.

I've been waiting my whole life to say this, so: "Baby, my ship sails in the
morning."

The long months of preparation are over; the frantic packing is done;
evidence of my occupation of my loft barely remains.

During our journey southwards to Antarctica I will have no email access;
down at the base the data access is unreliable, so I will bid you all adieu.

Many thanks for the years of learning, the catfights, the humour, the
endless Americana, and the camaraderie.

Those who wish to follow the adventure for the next 14 months - please drop
me an email to get on my newsletter, or check out the fledgling blog at
www.hoffam.za.net/doctorross

I leave you with Amundsen's words - great advice for life - "Obstacles are
merely things we overcome"

Ciao,

R.
