No, I didn't...I thought that he ended up as a chest cutter...since he was
supposed to *BE* Hawkeye...
And Ace Paperbacks reportedly didn't do so well by either Dr. Hooker or
William E. Butterworth (better known as W.E.B. Griffith) in terms of paying off
on the paperback royalties...
(Yes, at one time I owned the entire series...of which only three were
actually penned by Dr. H.)
