Gabe,

Mr. Al-Nogaidan insists that the world -- specifically the Islamic world
-- can be saved by new, more modern and moderating religious leadership.
I disagree.
  
Martin Luther falls well short of an inspiring example, even if you
believe that the Protestant Reformation solved anything important.
Indeed, he simply offered another competitive paradigm.  Fat lot of good
it did for Ireland.

Our mortal failure isn't in the selection or corruption of any given
doctrine; it's in our adherence to man-made religions in spite of our
God-given REASON.
