With all respect, you can't have it both ways, Dr. Mattox.  If you're
going to dismiss helicopters offhand because there's not a shelf full of
PRCTs, then you need to stop asserting that "we all know hypotension is
a good thing."

I have those papers.   I have some familiarity with statistical
sampling and 
comparison of data.  I understand control groups.    I understand the
fallacy 
of historic controls.   Read the papers  carefully.   Ask about the 
appropriateness of their "controls" and  comparison groups.   Very often
the 
conclusions are written and the  abstract are written prior to data
analysis.   Very 
very often such  papers have abstracts and conclusions which are not
born out by 
the published  data.
