Ang: Level 1 Fluid Infusor

We only very occasionally use our level one in the trauma room. But it does 
make a difference if the nurses can set it up speedily - needs practice.

Another question comes to mind.
ATLS does recommend traction splintage (with commercial splints) of fracture 
femurs, does it? In Hong Kong, we apply commercial splints in the ED in the 
first instance.

But after about 5-10 mins. when the Orthopedic team arrives, they change it 
to a long leg slab before admission to Ortho ward.

Do you think we should standardise and follow the Ortho practice, or should 
the Ortho team keep our commercial splints?
