ideal ER lengths of stay?

I think that, to me, it depends on where you're going (or, we're taking) the pt from the bay: OR or ICU?
If we have a GSW going to OR, I strive for less than 20 min. To ICU? If they're cold, fast. If relatively stable, we'll sometimes put lines in, in the bay and "stabilize" so that the move to the ICU is safer...you know, so lines don't get pulled, tubes are in well...etc.
I don't know that we have have benchmark,per se.
