Inspector Clouseau to Hotel manager (in your best French accent)
"Does your dog bite?"

Manager
"No"

Clouseau bends down to pet the dog which promptly bites him.

Clouseau, angrily to manager
"I thought you said your dog did not bite!"

manager
"That is not my dog"
