so silent recently here, I almost forgot to bring in my 2 cents: if
memory serves, in ancient days a "swimmer position shot" was the
required position for a lateral c-spine view in polytraumatised patients
here. It goes one arm down along the side, the other one elevated over
the head, just like a crawl swimmer. I can not see the difference in
puting one or two arms in an elevated position.
