i saw this article this morning on the channel 5 (boston) website this morning, also what the the two medical directors failed to disclose to the reporter were flights turned down due to weather, or the patients condition didnt warrent air transport b/c of traumatic arrest, change in patient condition or proximity to an ED, or even extended ETA from the service(s) due to being out on other flights. Also; the flight services in NE region have there own alliance type thing going on, if boston med flight isnt available, they will turf your request to one of the other flight services close to you, like Albany lifeflight in western MA or Umass for centeral MA.

I'm not quite sure what would be causing this issue. Maybe more outreach to 1st responders that are on scene. The indications are clearly outlined in Massachusetts protocols. Would like to hear what providers on this list have to say about this report.
