In my part of Indiana (south central) quarry swiming/diving is a source of concern. It use to be local kids and IU students but after the movie "Breaking Away" the alure of the quarry grew (BTW, Cutters come from Bedford, not Bloomington). Unfortunately, the often do not make it to the OR -or even the ED- and if they do they move on quickly to long term care.
ATVs , softball, soccer and horses are also good for business. I still cannot find a brain bucket that looks good with my flat saddle! Fortunately my Saddlebreds have kept me out of trouble over the years.

Subject: summer trauma
I've been asked to deliver a talk for our next nursing education day on
"Summer Trauma" -- I'd love any ideas you have for content.
