Their country's interests are deeply and undeniably secondary. Of course, if you're a believer, God's will quickly BECOMES the national interest. GWB's interests are a mystery to me. They are probably also belief-based; but I'm less convinced all the time that anybody's God is a major influence. I'm leaning more toward power intoxication or delusions of grandeur, but can't rule out the Imperious Curse. Yours were likely the most balanced of all the commentaries in the thread. Little coincidence that you were one of the few to actually take a seat in the audience. Michael Moore is a social activist and a clever filmmaker. I defend him only against those who would paint him as anti-American. He may be right or wrong; but it would be hard to prove anyone more interested in the condition of his country. Are wealthy people disqualified from advocating on behalf of the poor? Would you be happier if he were directing ads for Cigna? If not Michael Moore, then who? Pret Bjorn Let it be repeated, that I tried very hard for my comments NOT to be a criticism, but one persons analysis of the film. I added several areas of common interest and communication where MM, the medical profession, government, big business, patient advocate groups, etc. could join together and make a change. It is just that I do not see a common ground in any of the pre-conceived solutions. I see more problems for most of the politically motivated, greed motivated, HMO motivated, control motivated, etc. programs. k ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. -- trauma-list : TRAUMA.ORG To change your settings or unsubscribe visit: http://www.trauma.org/index.php?/community/ -- trauma-list : TRAUMA.ORG To change your settings or unsubscribe visit: http://www.trauma.org/index.php?/community/ -- trauma-list : TRAUMA.ORG To change your settings or unsubscribe visit: http://www.trauma.org/index.php?/community/ --===============0429120874==-- --NextPart_Webmail_9m3u9jl4l_9442_1183836294_2 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Description: Digest Footer -- trauma-list : TRAUMA.ORG To change your settings or unsubscribe visit: http://www.trauma.org/index.php?/community/ --NextPart_Webmail_9m3u9jl4l_9442_1183836294_2-- ]
